Views on the United State's Anti-Muslim Movements
Saturday, two days from now, is September 11th. That's nine years from the terrorist attacks on New York City, bringing the World Trade Centers down to the ground. While some people have decided to gather in their respective buildings of faith, others-- namely, one other-- have plans to go down a less peaceful route.
A fellow blogger, Shell, brought to my attention the plans of a pastor in Florida on this anniversary. He has organized "International Burn A Qur'an Day". MSN News reports that Rev. Terry Jones intends to burn several copies of the holy book of Islam at his Gainesville, FL church. Now, when I heard this, I was outraged. I still am, actually.
